I’m Elisa Barreto, a Brazilian scientist and mom with a major in Biology (2012) and MSc (2014) and Ph.D. (2020) in Ecology and Evolution by the Universidade Federal de Goiás – Goiás (UFG). I’m interested in the fields of macroecology, macroevolution, community ecology, species interaction, natural history, and science communication for children. I’m a postdoctoral fellow in the Spatial Evolutionary Ecology Group of the Swiss Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research – WSL. My current research focuses on various ecological and evolutionary aspects of species mutualistic interaction, specifically between plants and hummingbirds. I’m also collaborating on projects investigating macroecological patterns in environmental space.
